Idro UF Membranes

Our Ultrafiltration (UF) water treatments utilize a low pressure membrane technology that enables cost effective compliance within the requirement of safe drinking / utility water. The membranes provide superior rejections of bacteria and other micro-organisms while removing the turbidity. There are three variants of idro UF membranes. They are manufactured from different polymers such as Poly-Acrylonitrile (PAN), Poly-Sulfone (PS) and Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF).

Membrance Characteristics

Poly-Acrylonitrile (PAN) UF membranes are modified to have excellent hydrophilic property thus can be operated at a high flux. Most bacteria are removed.

Poly-Sulfone (PS) UF membrane has a MWCO of 30,000-50,000 Dalton and can remove most bacteria & viruses.

Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) UF membrane has excellent chemical resistance and tensile strength thus have a longer service life. Its MWCO of 50,000-80,000 Dalton can remove most bacteria, macromolecules & viruses.

2 barriers layer allows for a greater flexibility of use for the membranes, i.e. can be used outside-in or inside-out
